The SAT Subject Test in Chemistry is an 85-question multiple-choice test measuring a student's grasp of college-preparatory chemistry. Students usually prepare for the exam by enrolling in an honors level or AP Chemistry class, preferably as a junior with the intent to take the test late in the school year. Ideally, students would have completed Algebra 2 in time for the exam, as the test does include some higher level math. The rising popularity of the test has done nothing to change the statistical results -- nearly half of all test-takers achieve a score of 650 or higher.
